About the Artist

TB Ward was born in Barnsley, England in 1968. He studied printmaking at North Staffordshire Polytechnic from 1988 to 1990 before moving to London via Liverpool. He subsequently formed the band Elevate who became favourites of the late great John Peel. Ward relocated to New York City in 1999, motivated by the search for inspiration from a new environment. In 2000, having re-focussed on painting and the visual arts, he worked with Sol Lewitt on a major installation commissioned by the Embassy Suites Hotel in lower Manhattan.

Ward has exhibited his work numerous times in and around New York City, Philadelphia, PA, and Saratoga Springs, NY. He has also completed commissions and projects in London, Dublin, Stockholm, Moscow and Chicago. In 2014 he returned to the UK, threw away his sunglasses, and now lives and works in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
